This course will allow nurses working in different areas of hospitals and clinics to learn more about variety of wounds, new and practical approaches for prevention of skin integrity and treatment of wound with different etiology.
Participants completing this course will be able to:
Recognize early interventions for patients with necrotizing fasciitis.
Describe 3 interventions for preventing skin damage.
Identify risk factors for development of pressure injury in individuals with spinal cord injuries.
Discuss challenges in preventing and healing of diabetic foot ulcers.
Provide evidence-based rationale for use of different dressings for complex wounds.
Understand effect of nutritional deficiency in wound healing of patients with variety of wound etiologies.
